College Hill Cuddle Buddy Here!

Pet care experience

I know how difficult it can be to be away from your best friend, so I'm here to make that time as easy as possible! Nothing makes me happier than spending time with dogs and cats, except that I can give back to the community! I always enjoy being able to bring peace of mind to owners that are looking for excellent care for their cat or dog while they're away, so I would love to provide that care to you. Give me a try and go about your business without guilt, knowing your four-legged buddy is in great hands. My first goal when taking on a pet is to ensure that you and your furry family member are pleased and feel well taken care of your dog or cat. My Cat Friends: If you have feline friends, I can help them too! I adore cats and find them so enjoyable. I can provide boarding, sitting, and drop-ins. I'm happy to administer medication, spend time with them, feed them and clean up the litter box. So if there's a cat in your house, I'm so glad to provide care for them too! Dog Training: Does your dog need a training refresher? Do you have a new puppy that needs to learn the ropes? I can help with that. I am studying dog training through the Canine Principal Program of Canine Coaching, and I've been learning a lot about how to start a dog's education--I can teach "sit, stay, come, and more"; tell me what you'd like. I usually like to teach or reinforce a command to build our bond and communication together! If your pup is having difficulty figuring out how to walk on a leash, I can help with that, too--let me know if you'd like some training assistance or if you are working with training and want to continue with the reinforcements while you are away. I am happy to follow the commands you give. Why me? Animals have been a part of my experience growing up, and if treated right, they make the best friends. I currently walk and care for a few cats and dogs in my neighborhood, and I am always the first to volunteer to take care of my friend's animals. I can't resist! I did help out at Oradell Animal Hospital (the number one vet hospital in NJ) for a little while, so I have some basic training (not certified) under my belt. I am also certified in First Aid / CPR and FIR Team Member from ASPCA courses. In any case, every dog and cat under my care will be taken care of to the absolute best of my abilities. Custom Care Schedules: I will always listen to your instructions carefully because no one knows more about your pet than you do! I'm a detail-oriented business person who knows how important it is to follow through with the instructions you give me for your pet's daily care. That means you can look forward to quality, custom care for your pup or kit. I'm also happy to ensure you get plenty of pictures, videos, and updates of your dog or cat with a big smile on their face or those adorable, loving eyes. New Clients: I want to ask new clients whether their pet has any health issues I should know about and if they have any particular behaviors or things that might trigger a specific response, i.e., loud noises, skateboards, or other dogs. I'd also like to understand the pet's basic training level or ability to follow commands and what those commands (gestures and/or words) may be. I prefer pups with limited barking, as I live in a quiet apartment building. I'd love to know the following: • Favorite activities • Known commands • Likes/dislikes • Daily routine and feeding schedule • Walking / Playing style I am big on temperament rather than the breed of dog and cat. I love to know how to approach your pet. I would also like basic instructions like what your pets love to do and what your pet hates. I also need to know if your pet has allergies and medication or medical attention. Meet and Greet: I like meeting new clients. We will get to know each other a little bit, and I can get to know your pet better too. I prefer to meet with you via video call, phone, or at an agreed location. At this time, I am not allowing clients into my apartment, but a video chat is an option should you be curious about the layout of the area where your pet will be staying. I believe in open communication, honesty, and LOTS of pictures! Rates: Please understand rates are adjustable by the hour. I can be flexible and fair, depending on your specific need and request. Please understand that this is a small business for me, and I treat it as such. I do not give discounts on one-time clients. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Our dog, Gem, made herself at home in Tammy's home. We knew this because Tammy shared many pictures and contacted us thru out Gem's stay. It was Gem's first stay with Tammy. We were able to enjoy our time away, knowing Gem was being well cared for. Tammy, thank you again.

Tammy was great with Pinot! She provided boarding services for 12 days, which for us is uncommon to travel without him, and she made us feel safe throughout our entire vacations. Great communicator, loved Pinot in every way and Pinot loved staying with her as well. We found our sitter!

Safety, trust & environment

During Our Time Together and Safety: When at home, we will most likely play with some downtime afterward to cuddle, if needed and wanted. We will go for walks and have fun playing with toys. I'll follow the schedule you've worked out for your pet so they can feel at home with me. The only thing I will not do is take your pet off leash or play with other animals. I can't assume everything is fine because I don't know the other animals and don't want a preventable emergency during my watch. I know that cats and dogs are creatures of habit, so we'll emulate their regimen as closely as possible. Your pet will eat a good meal, which you provide to me. Hopefully, they will feel they are essential while you are away. Bonus: Treats: During that stay, there are plenty of toys and pure treats. Please let me know if your pup has any allergies. Food will not be provided, so bring their favorite meals! Den: All animals will have a place to hang out to feel safe. Sanitized: All furniture and pet supplies are cleaned and sanitized before and after each stay.
