Licensed Veterinary Technician

Pet care experience

Hi I’am Tammy. I’ve been in the veterinary medical field for 15 years and am a Licensed Vet Tech. I’ve had tons of experience both with happy healthy young pets as well as seniors or special needs animals. I’ve spent most of my years in general medicine but have also worked several years in speciality including surgery, internal medicine, oncology and some ER. I am a fish tank keeper and a plant lady so let me know if that’s something you might need in your home. 🐠🪴 👩🏼 I also have a virtual assistant on my team who is also a Licensed Vet Tech. Her name is Jessica and she can help answer questions and get you all set up. 😊

Tammy was wonderful as always. She’s watched my first cat several times, and now my new adopted cat. Not only is she great with the animals, but caring, attentive, and sends sweet updates. Always feel safe leaving my cats in her care.

Tammy is awesome! She is great with my cats and so reliable. She was even able to add an extra drop-in when I missed my flight. Book with her!

In my home during the day animals go where ever I go. The cats have a few areas where they are allowed to be away from dogs (upper level and lower level) but dogs and cats get the main floor to mingle. Dogs during the day hang out with me and at night get their own rooms. Dogs currently must be either crate trained or be fine with sleeping in a separate closed room by themselves although we can accommodate some exceptions so please tell us your pets nighttime needs. We have a large dog crate if needed but don’t generally crate dogs unless they are use to it. You are welcome to bring your dogs crate if they are more comfortable in it. Cats also get their own room fully to themselves and will not mingle with our cats unless previously discussed before boarding. There are windows for sitting in, litter boxes, blankets, beds and boxes for playing in but you are encouraged to bring your cats things. We have a half acre of fenced in back yard that is full of trees and greenery. Leash walks are also a favorite in the cooler mornings. Please note our neighborhood does not have side walks but off leash in our backyard is usually preferred by owners. *COVID VACCINATED* *WE ONLY BOARD ONE FAMILY AT A TIME! This is ideal if your dog does not like other dogs or if you have a pack of dogs of your own. You won’t have to worry about if your pet will get alone with a strange dog and your pet gets our full attention.*

Information Tammy T. would like to know about your pet

Meet and greets are required for all services. For boarding: Your dog must not have small prey drive or should be indifferent to cats. Our cats go where we go and will likely be around your dog. We do not accept new dogs who have never interacted peacefully with cats before. We are not currently accepting large breed high energy dogs as our fenced in yard is not strong enough to withstand possible escape artist and our street does not have sidewalks.

A typical day

Our mornings, when it’s 75 or below, we go on long walks around the neighborhood or play in the fenced in backyard for 20 min. We follow this up with a relaxing morning routine of tea time for me and treats for the dogs. The remainder of the day is usually filled with dogs lounging in the office with me with frequent disruptions in my work schedule for potty and play time and movies or music during art time. We love midday walks around the neighborhood as there are usually no other dogs or cars out. We wrap up the day with snacks and belly rubs or some basic Physical therapy for the senior dogs and yoga for the humans. We always go out in the backyard at night for a quick potty break before bed.
