I'm a Mom of two boys, two dogs and one cat with a lifetime caring for, loving and working with pets. When you're dog is with me, they're family. We live in East Sacramento and currently have two female dogs - both adopted from Front Street, and one cat. We have a fenced back yard, and while the house is small, completely dog-welcoming. I'm a marketing coach by day, and work from home so your dog will have plenty of company and can go outside as often as needed. What sets me apart is my maturity, trustworthiness and experience. I have years working with dogs, know every vet in the area - if need be, and have worked with and cared for hundreds of dogs. I love dogs and cats, and also truly know how to feed, exercise and care for dogs young to old. Leaving your dog with me, or hiring me to watch them in your home is like leaving them with your most trusted caretaker. I also enjoy running and hiking active dogs. If you have a pooch that needs a little more exercise, I can help. You'll return home to a tired companion. I launched and grew an active dog business in NYC from 2000 - 2008 that offered dog boarding, dog hiking and dog and owner trips. I grew that business through excellent care and client service and was featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and others. I wrote and published a book about places to hike with your dog outside of New York City, The book was published in 2007 and is sold on Amazon. Finding Tammy to care for our senior pup was such a relief. She has two dogs of her own, is knowledgeable on senior pup needs, which is a huge plus for us. Tammy herself is so friendly, responsive and truly the best sitter we’ve had on Rover so far.
My four year old border collie Finley had such a great time at Tammy’s house! This was his first time at daycare and he did not want to leave when I picked him up. Best of all, he got a ton of exercise going for walks and playing in the backyard so he was tired when I took him home. Tammy is very knowledgeable about dogs and I was instantly comfortable that Finley would be safe and well-cared for with Tammy. I highly recommend her and plan to be a repeat customer!!
Tammy did an incredible job taking care of my active Australian Cattle Dog for a few days. My pup is high-energy and needs plenty of exercise and attention, and Tammy went above and beyond to meet those needs. From daily walks to playtime, they kept him happy and well-cared-for. I appreciated the updates and photos that reassured me he was in great hands. I’ll definitely be booking Tammy again in the future! Highly recommend!
Bosley had a great time with Tammy! Her dogs were very kind to their guest too. Tammy made sure that Bosley got lots of love, walks and play time. Tammy was very communicative with me, sending updates and photos during Bosley’s stay.
Tammy has been wonderful with my 2 dogs. She's great at paying attention to the dogs' needs and going at their pace. I appreciate her ability to work with my schedule and be flexible. My dogs are comfortable with Tammy and she's been absolutely great to work with! I highly recommend her for anyone needing pet care.

Schedule
I work from home and typically walk my dogs around East Sac - or out for a run or hike, in the mornings and evenings. I do have a fenced yard as well, so dogs that love to be outdoors may do so, noting that I'm working at my desk only steps away. We play ball and frisbee in the back yard, and there's a bed outside for naps in the sun.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and my family includes two middle-aged female lab mixes and one cat. Dogs must get along with other dogs and cats to stay at our house. If you have a canine friend that isn't great with other dogs, or likes to prey on cats, I'm happy to watch your furry friend at your house. I am certified in Pet First Aid - have been for years, and know all local vets close to East Sac. I'm also well-versed with locations of emergency pet care clinics - let's hope we don't need one, but if we do, I have been before and can calmly handle.

A typical day
When dogs are with me, they walk, play in the yard, romp in the house, run or even run alongside my bike - I have a Dogger Jogger! We make dogs happy here and will enjoy and love your dog as much as you do!
