Hi! My name is Tammy, If I knew how much fun it is caring for other ppl's dogs and/or puppies, I would've become a Rover nanny long ago! I've always connected w/dogs, grew up and went to college in Minnesota and lived here in the WBL community for 25 years. I got my first dog, a Beagle named Candy, when I was four years old. (That's us, in the last pic of my profile posts. Ten years later it was a poodle/mutt named Nuffy, then a Shitzu named Gizmo, and finally a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Latte. Together, they pretty much define my life journey to date. The only one I actually chose up close and personal was the Shitzu--the other three made their way into my life by all manner of fortuitous flair. I loved them all at first site__in the way you just know when you know--and learned to discern a host of breed characteristics from each one. Latte became well known in the neighborhood over his 16 active years w/me as we walked between 3 & 5 miles/day. I sure do miss him and would be happy to love on your dog while you are away...whether that be hours, days or weeks. Just a heads up I spoil my own grand-poos, (two impossibly cuddly Malti-Poos) every chance I get! I work from home so I'm able to accommodate almost any routine and schedule and facilitate socialization skills w/similar breeds. And because I'm a writer, I'm always looking for distraction :D which means I'm all too willing to give your pup lots of one on one attention while you're away. Able to take your pups for walks and frequent potty breaks outside on leash. I keep a clean environment in my home and Pet Safety is very important to me. I'm semiRetired working out of my home as a writer/internet research consultant, which offers not only the quality of life I've always wanted but the flexibility of care your fur babies deserve. We are situated on a mini cul-de-sac/pocket neighborhood in a stand alone cottage home that backs up to a wooded conservation strip. In between is a spacious spread of green lawn serving as an unfenced back yard. At no time are my client's dogs unsupervised--whether inside eating/playing or outside for potty breaks. If your pet is under 30 lbs, it's really the best of all worlds.
