I grew up with pets of all kinds. As an adult, I have cared for many of my own dogs over the years (10 dogs) as well as for family, friends, and co-workers pets. I provided love, care, snuggles, fun walks and adventures. I have rescued several dogs, to include a pit mix I fed in a field. When she turned up pregnant, out of all the people visiting, feeding, and trying to catch her; to include organizations, no one was able to get close to her but me. :-) When the puppies were born, I took her and the 9 pups home with me. Found homes for everyone of them. I volunteered at a shelter during my Dog Obedience Training externship; the scared, anxious, fearful, and stubborn dogs all responded well to me. With a minimal training plan, I was to focus on people socializing for most of them. I could get them to do things others weren't able to; like sit on my lap, take pictures, leash walk, play with toys, etc. I am an ABC Certified Dog Obedience Trainer and am Certified in Dog First Aid and CPR. I work as an Animal Caretaker with the Military Working Dogs at the kennels on Lackland AFB.
