Growing up in the midwest there were MANY opportunities to learn about pets and take on the responsibilities of pet care at an early age : ) I grew up with horses, cattle, cats, dogs, chickens, and even an orphan squirrel and raccoon! I spent more time with the animals than humans....some things never change. My parents were advocates of teaching responsibility to us at a young age...I have 6 siblings. I live in beautiful Franktown, CO in the country on 6 acres. My pit crew includes my off track thoroughbred horse Proud and my three year old darling english setter girl, Little Willow. She is my 12th english setter over the last 40 years! I love all breeds but hunting dogs have a special place in my heart. My life is a hectic juggle and that is the way I like it. You can find me enjoying time with my horse at my boarding stable, working with buyers and sellers in real estate, or playing the role of wine steward at local wine tastings. In my hobby time I like to ride my horse, ski, hike, raft, garden...pretty much anything active and outdoors. Currently I am not set up in my small home for additional four legged guests. I am available for pet sitting and overnight stays, dog walking, drop in visits to exercise or feed and equine care. I look forward to serving my community. My calendar is ever changing but I am very well organized so if you have special needs we would just need to discuss : ) Any overnight stays at your home would need to include my dog Little Willow. I take this service on as a case by case after having a thorough conversation with owners about their needs, pets habits, etc. That means your dogs must be friendly and able to get along with a dog in their space. Willow is a 3 year old spayed english setter who is EXTREMELY friendly to dogs and cats. She is crate trained and very well house trained. She would never be left alone in your home with your pets. She goes most everywhere with me.
