Pet care experience
Ever since I was a little girl, I've always been drawn to dogs. To the point where now on every hike or walk that i go on, I factor in 20 extra minutes for "doggie play time" as at least four dogs run over to me for cuddles that I find impossible to peel myself away from 😂 I have 7 years experience caring for dogs professionally through the website Trusted Housesitters, for family and friends in addition to volunteering at dog shelters. I am also currently looking after my friend's dog, Spud (half chihuahua and jack russell) and have been for the past 7 months whilst she is travelling.

My dog LolaBerry can be a difficult/ reactive little pupper due to early life experiences. I don't trust many people to look after my dog but I do trust Tameika and I have asked her to look after her previously when I have been at work or have social plans. Tameika knows exactly how to handle her, calm her down and keep her safe. Lola adores her and aaaaall the cuddles. Lola loves it when she visits and always runs to get her favourite toy to present. Tameika is the biggest dog lover I have ever met!
Tameika has looked after my dog Spud now for 6 months, including living with him at my home and taking him on adventures further afield. I could not recommend her enough, she has kept my home tidy and clean and treats my dog like her own- Spud loves spending time with her!
Tameika has looked after Wesley for everything from an hour long walk on the lead, to a three hour run and swim at the beach, to staying with him while I was away for a week. He is a quirky dog, but Tameika took the time to get to know him and he is utterly in love with her as a result. I can leave him knowing that he is happy and well cared for and that is priceless. I trust her 100% with him. My kids call her the dog whisperer!

I will treat your furry companion as if they were my own and diligently follow your instructions regarding their care. With dogs I have cared for previously, i have given them lots of snuggles, ensured they were fed, watered and tucked in for bed. Should your dog need to be placed into a crate also, i can easily do this.

Please let me know should your dog have any special needs or behaviours that i can account for. Any additional information regarding their potty breaks, exercise schedules, feeding times alongside their bed time routine will ensure that i have all that i need to keep your furry companion happy.
A typical day
I will ensure that your dog is stimulated both physically and mentally in my care. I incorporate regular play sessions with dogs I have cared for previously; tug of war, hide and seek and fetch have been firm favourites that I absolutely love to play with them. I will walk dogs in any weather but will ensure that I avoid the heat of the day during the summer months. I also love to take dogs on adventures to places like the beach (another firm favourite), the park and nature trails to let their senses run wild. I can also provide enrichment activities or training as alternatives should the weather either be too hot or too cold outside.

I currently work full time from home in my role within the NHS, so my schedule is very flexible regarding the care of your furry companion. I can either dogsit within your home or do drop ins if required.
