Natural Born Pet Care-Taker

Pet care experience

I grew up caring for my family’s Siberian Husky since I was ten years old until I left for college. During high school, I was fortunate enough to be selected for a program called “Animal Science,” where I learned how to take care of all sorts of animals from fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, rodents, rabbits, to cats and dogs. We even groomed many pets for a low cost at the high school! As a teen, I also worked nearly a year at a veterinary clinic specifically for cats. I also cared for my relatives three cats at their home when they went on vacations. I served my country for six years in the US Army and since I couldn’t own a pet during those years, I got my own yellow Labrador puppy when my service was done. I took care of her and learned how to train her using PetSmart’s puppy-owner training services. Sonnie was so smart and I learned a lot. Since then, I have cared for a variety of breeds in all shapes and sizes from tiny a Papillon to German Shepherds. I love dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds. I eventually finished a Bachelors degree of Science in Biology with the intention of continuing on to a Veterinary Program. During my journey to finish my degree I was lucky to find a couple that needed to re-home their 6-month Shiba Inu puppy, and I gladly welcomed him into my home as my forever fur-baby. He is now seven human years young and still going strong with me and my two older kids.

Safety, trust & environment

I currently reside at a pet-friendly apartment complex with my Shiba-Inu, “Tune,” new to Pennsylvania. My kids will join me soon. This apartment complex offers a nature walking trail, is joined with a public park and also has its own fenced in dog park. There are plenty of dog waste disposal stations around the complex. Also, there is a Veterinarian clinic/Emergency Veterinarian immediately to the right of the complex entrance. I intend on doing whatever it takes to expand my services as a Professional pet caretaker, including the development of values such as trust and loyalty, to meet the many needs of my clients and their fur-babies.
