My mom used to selectively breed small dogs when I was a child. I helped her with whelping, feeding and caring for the puppies and our five dogs, three cats and various birds and fish. Since then, I’ve taken care of friends’ animals frequently.

Tamara was the perfect sitter for our dog, River. He is an active dog and she keep him busy with walks, sniffaris, tricks for treat, lots of outside time and play dates. Highly recommend and will book with her again!
Tamara was a perfect fit for Walter. She was punctual, gave him a lot of attention, actually spent extra time with him the one visit, and was very responsible with Walter. I was concerned because Walter is so young but she was able to make him feel comfortable enough that I came home to a happy, relaxed puppy, not a stressed out one. I would recommend Tamara highly, she is very personable and just wonderful with Walter. I will definitely be asking her to stay with Walter again.
Tamara did a wonderful job watching Cosmo while we were out of town. She is so pleasant and calm. Her love for animals is very evident. She sent periodic updates, including pictures, while we were away. I would not hesitate to book with Tamara again. She really made leaving our dog a pleasant experience.
Tamara was great and sent photos throughout the weekend. I didn’t have to worry about my precious dog while I was away. Met all expectations. Would book her without hesitation.

I have an extremely pet friendly household. my dog and any visiting cats are allowed on all of the furniture, including couches and my bed. For dogs I am watching, if you would like your pupper to be crated, I will gladly do so. I have extensive experience with both crating and free range pups. I enjoy playing fetch or cuddling up with pups. With cats I board, they get a calm space of their own to chill, with huge picture windows to bird and squirrel watch. If you have window kitty hammocks, pls feel free to bring them with your feline family member.

Let me know if your pup has any behavioral issues with other dogs or certain ages or types of people. I am quite experienced with dogs that are less reactive, or not good with children or certain kinds of men. But in order for me to handle this appropriately for your pup, I need to know about it in advance. I also have experience with feeding dogs raw diets and mixing in supplements to dog food. If this is something you do for your dog please know that I will adhere to your wishes as precisely as possible. Let me know if you have any special requests if I’m housesitting, for example water flowers or bring in packages.
A typical day
If a pupper likes walks, we will take long “sniffaris” together where your pup gets to follow their nose and choose our walking direction. On hot days, these would be early morning so their precious paws don’t get hurt by hot surfaces. I own chuckits, flirt poles and other enrichment toys. I enjoy giving pups snuffle and licki mats. I am willing to feed a raw diet.

I have just moved to Cbus so my schedule is wide open!! I’m a single college professor who works from home full time teaching mainly evenings so I have great flexibility in my daily schedule. That includes walks, enrichment, playtime, etc
