My family's had dogs my whole life; from our first dog, an elderly Basset Hound named Lucy Mae, to an adopted Shih Tzu, Hobbes, and his rescued (adopted) sister, GiGi, (also a Shih Tzu). My beautiful Pit Bull Terrier mix, Missy, and her grumpy older brother, Hot Dog (obviously a Dachshund!), have been my best friends since I was 12; and they have both taught me the meaning of patience for sure! I frequently watch my sisters' 3 dogs & cat while her and her husband are out of town. I take them to the park for walks, feed them, and stay with them at night; they're the closest thing I have to nieces and nephews for now! I started working at both Vera's Posh Paws Daycare & Resort locations (Moore & OKC) in January 2016. I work directly with the dogs as a Kennel Tech and I have to admit, it's basically a dream job! My job at Vera's is full-time and my schedule changes day-to-day. However I only work 6 hour shifts at a time, so I'd still be available to do drop-in visits or overnight stays on my work days. My schedule requires a little more communication to arrange my stays but I am very flexible when I am available and would love the opportunity to discuss any possible adjustments necessary to ensure you are comfortable with your dogs care while you're away! I understand the anxiety that comes with having to leave your fur-babies home while you go out of town and I do everything in my power to ensure that your dog is as loved and cared for with me as they are when they're with you! I love meeting new dogs, young and old, shy and hyper! Nothing beats the adorable, drooly smile of a happy puppy!
