Hello, my name is Talyah. I am a graduate student at the University of Hartford. I am currently am studying clinical psychology. In my free time apart from my studies, I enjoy pet sitting. I have gained most of my experience from owning pets myself. I have owned and helped take care of several breeds ( chow, husky, poodle) and feel comfortable with small to medium-sized dogs. I am a high-energy person and like to take pets to get their exercise. I love going outdoors and can help with grooming and feeding. I have my own transportation and a clean driving record. I have a passion for working with animals and would enjoy the opportunity to work with you. I hope to be able to display some of my qualities in person. Thank you for your consideration.

Within the client's home, I make sure to follow all care instructions including foods the pet eats, areas they should be walked in, and whether or not they are suitable to be around other animals. Overall, I strive to treat each pet as if it were my own and ensure that the pet is cared for the way the owner would like.

I would like to know whether the dog is able to be walked with a leash, how the dog interacts with new people or other animals, and the size/breed of the dog.
A typical day
Summer is now in full effect and there are plenty of parks and trails that I would love to take a dog for walks on. Depending on the size and energy level of the dog, I have several trails that I like to walk on that could be used as exercise. Many vary in length, difficulty, or elevation. Within the parks, we would be able to run, play with a ball, stick, or frisbee, as well as sit down and enjoy the fresh air.

Availability
I am a full-time student but I am looking for a part-time position. I have availability throughout the day to check in on pets and spend time with them in between and after my classes. I also have weekend availability for owners who are away on trips.
