Pet care experience
A personal/volunteer carer for dogs, cats, and horses for 15 years, and a paid professional working with puppies, elderly and special needs dogs, and rescue animals for 3 years, I have not only a wealth of experience working with animals of all personalities and persuasions, but also a deep love for the work. As animal-momma to a cat and a rescue horse, I understand how crucial safe, effective, and reliable care is for your fur-babies. Having fostered and adopted special needs dogs from Tehran in the past, I have offered a home to the animals who both fear and need love most. I have experience administering medication to even the most difficult patients, from oral to intramuscular, and am very comfortable working with challenging animals who have their own points of view. I also have experience clicker training dogs and cats, and starting and training horses as young as two years old, so any training questions or requirements you might have are either within my repertoire, or can be referred out to the appropriate expert for you and your pet. Questions? Please feel free to be in touch any time! I am starting an MA in September 2020. All classes have been moved online. Outside of the specific times I'm in class, my schedule is largely flexible. I am happy to work around your needs to the fullest I am able! I am comfortable taking dogs out for play time and walks anywhere you prefer. I have my own vehicle that is clean and doggy-friendly. I do not bring pets to my own home unless absolutely necessary, for the safety and comfort of my own fur baby; thank you for respecting his boundaries!

Would definitely recommend Talia and would book her again. She was great with my pup… asked all the right questions and made sure to update me on how she was doing. My condo was just how I left it if not more tidy. All my plants were happy as well :) Can tell sadie misses her already!

Talia to the rescue! We were concerned when the neighbor who was caring for my brother’s cat while he was here in Maine on a longer than usual visit said that she was seeming distressed. We found Talia on Rover.com and contacted her based on the good reviews. She is everything they say! Kind, compassionate, and caring. We were lucky to find her.

I don't have any size, age, breed, or ability preferences--every dog is my favourite dog! I would like to know about your dog's general disposition and history. What equipment or toys are most important to your dog (incl. harness, muzzle if applicable, etc.)? What are his/her favourite treats and activities? Is s/he a rescue? How does s/he feel about other dogs? Any red flags, warning signs, behavioural or health concerns? The more information you're willing to give me, the better!
A typical day
Going for walks, going to play in a park or dog park, and spending time learning new commands are favourite activities for the dogs under my care. If your dog is more the sit-and-stay type, I am also very happy spending leisure time with your pal, cuddling and giving affection. As a literature student and avid reader, I have found that nothing satisfies at the end of a long day like sitting and reading a book, dog(s) and/or cat(s) curled comfortably nearby.
