Pet care experience
I’ve been pet sitting since I was a kid, first for neighbors and family friends and more recently for people around town. I’ve have experience with dogs of all sizes, cats, chickens, and other farm animals. I have previously worked with pets with medical needs such as daily medication so I am happy to care for pets with special needs. When house sitting, I love to get your pets outside on walks (or runs if they are able to run) at least twice a day. As someone who works from home, I will be able to spend a lot of time with your pets, giving them lots of attention and cuddles!

I was on travel for a week and hired Talia as a sitter for Nora, my very active 2 year old lab mix. Talia kept Nora busy and happy, taking her on runs and playing with favorite toys in our yard. Talia followed my instructions regarding mealtimes, treats, bedtime and doggie manners to a tee. On my return, I was pleased to find my girl was calm and in good spirits, a true reflection of having been loved and well cared for while I was away.
It is very reassuring knowing that our family member and favorite son, Malcolm, is loved and taken care of while we are out of town. We are very lucky to have found Talia. She gives Malcolm the attention he needs and is very responsible with him and takes care of him like he’s her own. It’s clear Talia is an animal lover and we are very much at ease when we leave.

I like to get to know a pet at the start of a house sit, mostly letting them come to me until they are more comfortable. Once we’ve established a relationship, I like to spend time playing with them and getting them exercise as much as they are up for and as my day allows.

Let me know in advance if your dog has any special dietary issues, share vet information and information on feeding times as well as any medication they might need. It helps to know if your dog is reactive, has issues with certain breeds, is okay off leash, and any training commands you have been working on with them. It’s also great to know if you’re dog can be left alone or needs to come along on errands and excursions.
A typical day
I love to get your dog out on the trails around town. If your dog is up for a run, I’ll happily take them along on my daily run for some added energy relief! If we’re going for a longer walk and I know your dog well, and they do well off leash, I might take them to the Padden off-leash trails.
