***PLEASE CONSIDER READING BEFORE BOOKING *** -- The only reason I'm leaving 1 star as opposed to 0, is because at the end of the day our dog is alive and well. I was really hoping for an amazing experience, as this Rover has received countless positive reviews. However, our first Rover boarding experience was unfortunately less than satisfactory. Our dog boarded with Taelor for 7 days, and was picked up by our friend. Upon pickup, it was noted that Lily’s bed was saturated with urine, so much that the floor was wet when it was placed directly on the ground. Additionally, our friend reported that Lily herself was covered/smelled of urine. Our dog normally does not urinate on her bed, has stayed with other unfamiliar caretakers, and has been commonly left in the crate w/ her bed for several hours without this ever being an issue. Even if this was a one-off event, there is no way that her large dog bed could be this fully soaked in urine unless repeatedly done so (aka she wasn’t being walked and was left in the crate for most of the week). Throughout Lily’s stay with Taelor, we received minimal updates and only received updates twice when prompted. Both of these times Taelor had minimal updates, reported that everything was great and that there were no issues. There’s obviously two sides to every story, however we reached out to Taelor multiple times over the span of 12 days (and also from my partner’s Rover account) and even got Rover Support involved and there was still no answer. Additionally there were missing items (ie. expensive leash and brush) from Lily’s stay . Again, we’ve reached out to Taelor regarding these missing items and have not received a response. We have tried to remain patient and understanding, and felt like a discussion was warranted before writing this review. However its nearing 2 weeks without a response, and we feel that others should be aware of this situation before booking.

Taelor was great in every facet of watching the dogs. Between communication, doing what was needed for the dogs, and timing. She was wonderful and would recommend and use again
