I have had pets all my life. My parents were dog breeders for Australian Shepherds. I have had dogs guarding my crib as long as I can remember. My family has also had Cats, Fish and Hampters. Dogs have been like family in my house hold. I recently been house and dog sitting for my boss for 5yrs now. She has told me her dog loves me more then her family and should start looking into dog sitting more often. Thanks to my new found puppy friends, I was able to write my thesis on how reading to pets help children. I volunteer at local libraries to observe their pets programs. I am currently fostering kittens. So administering meds I am okay with. I can train too. I work with kids so I make sure washing hands is important at all times. Animals like kids need consistency and get attached to people. I work with families for long term because you become part of the family.
