Pet care experience
I have been a foster mom with City Dogs Rescue since 2015. I have trained and cared for 11 rescued dogs through this agency. I believe that every dog is unique and should be treated accordingly. When it comes to my parenting style, I am very patient and consistent. I love playing with dogs, going on long walks and visiting dog parks. I do have a declawed cat named Miley Cyrus. For the most part, Miley gets along with all the dogs that come into our home. She does have her little diva moments when she gets a bit sassy with the dogs, but she is not aggressive. Overall, I am an outgoing, caring and observant individual. Your dog will absolutely love spending time with me!

Taaj was great! I felt like I was leaving my dog Shelby with a surrogate Mom! She took such great care of Shelby and sent me updates and pictures while I was out of town. Taaj loves dogs, is very dependable, caring, capable. She puts her heart into watching your canine best friend! My dog was very happy to be with Taaj while I was away for a week long business trip. She would send me pics and updates on how things were going with my little buddy, Bailey. I plan to use Taaj again and trust her completely!
Taaj embodies the definition of compassion. In her career as a social worker, Taaj has worked with many different families, to offer help to those in need. In addition to providing services to people, she also volunteers her time to help animals in need. She is very nurturing, responsible and super fun! Because I have a cat, I would prefer a smaller dog, or a dog that does well with other pets in the household. Another important factor would be how well the dog does by itself, while I am away at work. During the week, I am out of the home from 7:30am to 4pm (sometimes earlier). I work at high school, so do I have few school breaks which those hours would not apply.
A typical day
Most of my walks take place in my community. I live in an urban neighborhood, but I am surrounded by a lot of nature. I live right next to Sligo Creek trail which most of my dogs love to stroll through. There is also a fun dog park in my neighborhood that I frequent.
