Hi! My husband Scott and I share this account. We are experienced design professionals working from home and the grandparents of Lily, a toy poodle who moved to Barcelona during Covid, leaving us without a pet to care for most of the time. Our career experience includes researching dog play styles, designing private dog parks, and I do volunteer work helping disabled New Yorkers care for their cats. We work from home and enjoy taking breaks to walk a dog to walk or play with a cat. Our schedules allow a lot of flexibility and we can provide companionship and as much exercise as needed. We love having a dog around and will treat any dog we board as if they were our fur grandbaby. We take only one dog at a time so they will have our full attention. We live in an elevator building very close to Astoria Park. With the exception of our terrace, dogs are allowed everywhere and on all the furniture (larger dogs can go on the terrace if you allow it).

Sylvia took great care of my dog Teddy! Visiting them is like visiting grandmas house :) They greeted him with open arms. She sent me constant updates and was very communicative. I would highly recommend and will be using Sylvia again for daycare/boarding.
Sylvia and Scott were absolute sweethearts! I'm so thankful that I found them! I had to leave Nobu (2 year old, labradoodle boy) for 2 weeks for the first time, they made sure my dog was comfortable with them before I left for my trip (by meeting up with them 3 times). They were loving, gentle and reliable, and took great care of Nobu by taking him to Astoria Park all the time (yup, it's a huge plus living so close to the park). Sylvia will send updates and pictures often and respond to any messages quickly. When I picked Nobu up after the trip, of course he was excited to see me but he was sad that he had to leave them, he liked them so much! So sweet, they even wanted me to think of them as Nobu's grandparents, I highly recommend these amazing sitters, would definitely ask them again!

For drop-in visits and walks: we require a meet and greet for any pet we take care of and will carefully review and abide by your requirements for care in your home.

Our schedules allow us great flexibility and time to care for animals while we are in NY. Please note, we travel quite frequently and pet care is not our primary job so we are not well suited to provide daily walks on an ongoing schedule.
