Pet care experience
Servicing West Philly/University City/Center City/South Philly **Disclaimer: For those worried about photo/video updates, I always send them outside of the Rover app since the app is known to have issues uploading from the sitter’s end or loading on the owner’s end. Picture and video updates are sent at least three times a day via WhatsApp or text.** I have been taking care of dogs for nearly 15 years now and have 7 years of specialized experience training both puppies and adult dogs. My experience includes, but is not limited to: potty training, loose leash walking/heeling, human & dog reactivity, anxious dogs, resource guarding. I can also administer medications and bathe dogs. Summary: I am generally available for dog sitting throughout the week. I am available for walks anytime between 8am-7pm during the week and anytime after 2-3pm on weekends (unless discussed beforehand). Additional fees may apply for last minute bookings (especially around holidays), and for late night walks/drop-ins (after 8pm). **Meet & Greets cost $15-20 for 1/2 hour. This is to accommodate for travel time & cost. Meet & Greets would be booked as a dog walking service and I will adjust the price accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.** **Last minute bookings (Less than 24 hours notice) will incur an extra charge between $25-40. **Dogs and puppies that need to be constantly watched or cannot be left alone for at least 2 hours will be charged extra ($20-30/day). If this is found to be the case after the service has already begun, the price will be modified to reflect this. Walks & hikes: I have personally and professionally raised and trained puppies, adult and senior dogs (including reactive and anxious ones) for 7+ years. I understand the anxiety and stress when leaving your pup in the care of another, so I always treat my clients pups the same way I would treat my own. This includes no meeting strange or unknown dogs during walks, high vigilance when walking around the city, and constant check-ins with your pup (ie. observing body language) to ensure they are feeling at ease and comfortable with their surroundings and interactions. As always, your pups’ safety is my priority. I go on hikes with my own pup every weekend morning (Saturday and Sunday), so walks during the weekend will start after 2-3pm, unless you have specifically requested for your pup to join in on the hiking adventures (~5-7 mile hikes; additional fees apply). Additional fees/charges may be applied for extra services performed during my stay. These can include, but are not limited to: bathing pets, excessive accidents in the house, dogs needing 1.5 total hours per day of exercise and/or 3+ miles per day, hikes, buying and/or making food for pets, gas/transportation compensation.
Reviews
Thank you Sydney for taking such great care of our dogs so we can relax and enjoy vacation knowing they are in great hands!
My dog loves Sydney!! We hadn’t scheduled with Sydney in almost a year, but when Nuggy saw Sydney again she immediately started jumping up and kissing her. Sydney is so patient and loving w Nuggy, really helps make her feel safe and calm (as seen by all the super chilled out pics Sydney sent me!). Highly recommend 🙏🏼
Sydney is the absolute best! Responsive and sent tons of updates. I didn't have to worry about our dog while we were away, I knew she was in great hands. Left the house very clear and exactly as we left it.
Justin always loves hanging out with Sydney. She’s so patient and a great sitter. Will definitely be using her services again.

Boarding in a client’s home: For clients with pups who are not dog-friendly, have separation anxiety, or would just prefer to be boarded in their own home, I will follow all rules and instructions you leave for me to ensure your pup(s) are as comfortable as possible while you are away.
Information Sydney W. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know: 1) Your pup’s level/experience with training (commands he/she knows) 2) Any quirks they may have (ie. reactivity, anxiety) 3) Medications that must be taken and/or allergies they may have 4) How often they need potty breaks/walks 5) How long they can be left alone? Do they need to be supervised 24/7? (If it is the latter, an extra charge will be added) 6) Can they be left unsupervised or do they need to be crated? 7) Plus any other information you may feel is necessary for me to know.

I wholeheartedly believe mental stimulation is just as important as physical stimulation/exercise. I can play puzzle games and provide small training sessions throughout the day and on walks, depending on your pup’s preference. I think it’s also important for dogs to sniff during walks as another form of mental stimulation but can also be a relaxation technique for anxious and reactive dogs. I enjoy bringing pups to local parks and grassy areas, such as Malcolm X, the Woodlands, and Clark Park in West Philly.

Availability
I currently tutor kids 3x a week for about 4hours at a time, otherwise, my schedule is pretty open. This gives me the flexibility necessary when it comes to caring for, playing with, and keeping a close eye on your pup!
