Pet care experience
Animals, especially dogs and cats, have been a constant and important presence in my life. Growing up, there were always a few pups and more than a few cats around and my love for animals has only deepened as I've gotten older. My parents made sure I was active in taking care of our animals: taking them to the vet, administering medicine, bathing the dogs, and socializing them out in the world. Throughout high school I had two long term dog sitting gigs. And I currently travel every summer to take care of a family's dogs while they go out of town. I also have my own 8 year old border collie mix.

Sydney watched my dog and my bunny for me for almost two weeks while my boyfriend and I were away during Christmas. She was able to watch them in our home and it was the most convenient and best thing for our pup and bun! She was able to play with our dog, feed him, and even bathe him after he got into some trouble in the backyard! And since we didn’t account for the amount of food we had left, she went out and got more. She let the bunny run around and brought him leftover goodies from her home. Truly an awesome caregiver and a loving caretaker. I HIGHLY recommend her to watch over anyone’s fur babies!
My husband and I have known Sydney all her life. We knew she was special from the beginning, but that certainly was more than confirmed when she became old enough to house/pet sit for us! After a very short time, we realized it would be fine to leave our house, dog, and cat for more extended trips, even to destinations outside the country. One thing that sets Sydney apart from other sitters is her quiet nature, which animals- and neighbors-really take to. In addition, Sydney was required to respond to a crisis event with our dog. She was unable to reach us, but handled everything expertly. Sydney has moved away from our area and we all, especially our pets, miss her!
Sydney has taken care of my pets (3 dogs, a cat, a hamster and my horses) for the last couple of years. She is dependable, personable, trustworthy and most of all loves animals. She’s taken care of my puppy and even administered my older dog’s insulin shots for 7 days while we were on vacation. I didn’t have to worry at all!! Sydney, above everything else, is such a kind soul and I would highly recommend her!

I have a small fenced in back yard, but I take my dog on walks twice a day and would take your dog too! My dog Benji is very friendly and playful with other dogs. He is submissive and goes with the flow. My car is dog friendly and I would use it to take your dog to a dog park near my house.

One of my favorite places to take the dogs for a walk is Audubon Park! But I love getting to know new neighborhoods, too.

Availability
I currently work in the service industry so I have large gaps of free time. I am free Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I can be flexible, but I prefer to have a more set schedule.
