Good with all types of dogs & cats

Pet care experience

Hello! I am a recent graduate of Howard University with degrees in both Biology and Spanish aspiring to become a veterinarian. I am currently working as a veterinary assistant at an animal hospital which has given me a lot of professional experience caring for furry family members. I have always had pets growing up and although my dog recently passed last year I have been dog-sitting non-stop to get my fair share of puppy love. I love playing with, taking care of, and spending time with all types of animals! I would make sure your furry family member(s) are treated with all the love and care they deserve while being given all the attention they need. I have worked for Barkly Pets, a dog walking company, and received 5-star ratings only based on my attention to detail, thorough care, and genuine heart. I look forward to meeting your pet soon!

Sydney was amazingly patient with my dog who has some serious anxieties and stranger danger. She was super reliable, went out of her way every time I asked, and wrote some amazing updates at the end of every visit. Thank you Sydney!!!

Sydney was very attentive and did a great job with my super needy , 70lb lap dog! She was also very timely and responsive to sending texts and pics, checking in, etc. I would definitely hire her again!

Sydney is the personification of care and responsibility. She has taken care of my boxer, Chester on multiple occasions and blew my expectations out of the water each time. For one, she had a natural connection with him knew exactly what to do when he was nervous upon meeting her. He warmed up to her kind and caring personality almost instantly. Secondly I know that she spends a considerable amount of time playing with him and walking/running him because of how tired my energy filled dog is after spending the day with her. He is so excited when she comes over and I don’t blame him because he seems to get the most exercise when she is around. I have also left Sydney at my home overnight a few times to watch him and everything has gone perfectly. She is great and I definitely recommend her to anyone that wants to make sure their dog is well cared for in their absence.

Sydney is one of the most loving and responsible people I’ve met in a long time. Her dedication to helping others and nurturing disposition not only makes her qualified for this position, but ensures that your pet will get the attention he or she requires. She’s currently an undergraduate student at the illustrious Howard University where she is taking the steps to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a minor in both Spanish and Chemistry. Her love for animals proceeds the surface level of affection most people have for dogs as she plans to apply this to her career and ultimately the rest of her life. I believe this adherence and devotion to help others as well as animals makes her more than a sound candidate to be a caregiver for Rover.

I care for pets with nothing but genuine love in my heart. I make sure I closely follow any instructions left to maintain structure and stability in your pet’s life. With everything else I allow the education I have gained by working in the veterinary field to fuel my decisions. I listen to pets as best I can by reading their body language to see what they are telling me about their comfort/stress levels. I always strive to keep pets in a loving and stable environment where they get plenty of enrichment and play to brighten their days.

Information Sydney S. would like to know about your pet

It is important for me to know any quirks about your dog like if they are afraid of loud noises or do not like to be pet while they're eating (resource guarding).

A typical day

I love going on a nice long walk around the neighborhood or to a park if there is one nearby! There’s always so many fun things for the pet to smell and see as we walk, which also helps rid them of any excess energy they have left over after playing. Your dog will definitely enjoy lots of attention from me as I entertain and play with them.
