Pet care experience
I am an elementary teacher-in-training attending graduate school at UW. I live in West Seattle, but am available to move around the city especially on weekends. I live with a wonderful older Border Collie named Chevy and am pretty obsessed with animals, as any of my friends and family can tell you. I love dogs and am very active so don't mind walking them a few times a day. I grew up with dogs and know the importance of keeping them well-fed and tiring them out! I have dogsat multiple times for my brother as well as other friends and Rover clients, who can all attest to my genuine love and affection I feel towards pooches and feline friends. I am more than happy to meet beforehand to get to know you and your pup or kitty!

My other review got cut off, but we've used Sydney twice now and she's been great. She's very responsive and her communication has been great including photo updates throughout the stay and most importantly, the dogs are happy!

Sydney loves animals more than anyone I know! Sydney and I have been friends for many years, and in that time I have seen her shower love and care not only on her family dogs, but on any dog who is lucky enough to pass her by on the street. Your pet will definitely be in good hands with Sydney, I truly can't think of a better person to be a dog caregiver!
To say I am particular about who takes care of my dogs is the understatement of the century. In ten years I have left only five or six times, most of which was with a girlfriend at the time. They are Pits, very headstrong and one is a bit dog aggressive, so needless to say I get nervous leaving them with people as I don't want anything bad to happen to them or another dog. Syd was the first person I have left them with that I felt very confident about her ability to take care of them. She was great with communicating if I wanted to check in.

I have a senior dog who can struggle with sharing his space with other pups at times, depending on personalities, which is why I prefer to dogsit outside my own home. I am a relaxed dog-sitter and love cuddling and giving doggies the attention they need. I am more than willing to give updates via text/email to owners who may worried about leaving pooches behind for a weekend or vacation.
