Pet care experience
I have extensive experience walking and sitting dogs and cats. My catsitting clients (felines and their owners😊) have expressed glowing appreciation for my attentiveness and care. Checking in on dogs when their owners are gone for days at a time, walking dogs periodically, and staying with pets in their homes all generously pepper my animal caretaking career of 7+ years. Most importantly, I am someone who has grown up with furry friends and knows just how important it is for pets to count on a loving and present human while their parents are away or don’t have time to get a walk in.
Reviews
Sydney stayed with our three cats and one dog while we were on vacation for a week. Sydney posted daily pictures and information on how our fur kids were doing. When we came home the house was cleaner than when we had left, the bed changed, and the animals' needs had all been met. We would love to have her stay with our pets again.
Sydney was our pet sitter for our cat and golden retriever dog for 3 years until we moved from the area. She provided excellent care but best was the special attention that she provided. The cat was especially shy and she drew him out and sent us pictures of him. We have missed her care since moving to a different area.
Sydney has taken care of my 14 year old cat many times over the past four years when I have traveled. My cat Bailey is nervous around people she doesn’t know but Sydney’s kindness and patience won her over . She would come to Sydney looking for pets and combing. Sydney is very responsible. Bailey required medication and a special diet which Sydney always made sure she received. Sydney is also very conscientious about cleanliness. Bailey’s litter box was always clean, waste was disposed of properly, her food and water dishes were always clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Sydney as a fur baby caretaker

Caring for pets in clients homes involves hands-on time spent where I focus on your pet’s needs. Dog walks are always lengthy (when appropriate for a given pet) as they’re an activity that I grew up appreciating and always enjoy. I always prioritize getting to know the pets that I care for so that I can create the best experience possible for them.
Information Sydney R. would like to know about your pet
It is helpful to understand the little quirks and tendencies that owners have noticed in the pets over time. Things like, their signals for needing to use the restroom or needing some playtime. It’s also helpful to hear about how animals have reacted to being in the care of a sitter in the past.
A typical day
I love to encourage dogs to pick out their favorite toy for a fulfilling bit of play time. My favorite spots to take dogs on walks are nearby trails. I am also comfortable taking dogs to dog parks if an owner has taken a dog prior and knows that it is something the pup will enjoy. I balance the amount of hands on play time that an animal needs with the signals that they provide. This way animals that love and need attention get it, and animals that need some alone time get that if they need it!

I am a college student in the area. I care for pets in between classes and on weekends. When caring for pets and staying with them, I always opt to study with the pets in their home so as to minimize their alone time.
