Pet care experience
I've had pets of all sorts since I was 5, typically in very mixed groups/ages/species and with special needs. For cats I've done just about everything from start to end of life care, including bottle feeding, medicating (pills, liquids, subcue fluids and shots), convalescence and grooming, as well as socializing and handling group dynamics. With dogs I spent my teen years as primary caregiver all-round for two golden retrievers and a mutt alongside 7 cats, managed toy and food aggression and basic training. I've cared for smaller dogs as well and had the unique pleasure of walking dogs near big enough for me to ride. "Aggressive" breeds are not a deterrent, I had a lab/pit mix for a while and she was a treat. I also have experience with reptiles, from small snakes and geckos to large snakes and lizards (such as tegus)!

I've got tons of space in my home and a large backyard though it is unfenced currently. My cats typically keep to themselves and are familiar with dogs, and I have multiple rooms and two stories that can be gated separately as well as a big garden style tub for bathing. I live right near a park for scenic walks, and my car can accommodate any size fur baby for transport to the nearest dog park. As for home visits, I defer to the pet parent's guidelines for care and keep my vet on speed dial in case of emergency.

I love detailed lists, so don't be shy with your baby's needs (and yours)! I prefer to know your expectations up front, especially for schedules and for sending updates. Any concerns, health or behavior issues or quirks, command words and any other information you think is important for me to know should be communicated before booking, and please let me know if I need to watch out for or monitor anything (particularly gastrointestinal and urinary things).
A typical day
When your fur baby is with me, my schedule is your schedule. I like to provide an environment as close to home for them as possible, so don't be afraid to outline their daily routine for me! I've got a nice, big open yard for pups that aren't a run risk, and a big park nearby for exercise, as well as a big open space in home for days that the weather doesn't cooperate. My neighborhood is pretty active, so there will always be plenty of sensory stimulation too!

Availability
As the proud dad of two feisty felines, pet care is as essential to my life as self-care, as normal as breathing. I've been doing this pretty much all my life, so it's mostly second nature. I'm currently self-employed at home, so my schedule is very flexible.
