Pet care experience
My name is Sydney and I am 25 years old! I have a degree in Sociology and am advanced in speaking Spanish, although I could use some practice!! I have been told that I am very genuine and patient, and I enjoy connecting with pets! I have worked with many dogs and cats of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I am also very willing to do some extra chores around the house or errands. I have dealt with what some would consider to be "tougher" dogs, dogs that have a hard time getting along with people or other animals, and I ave experience with aggressive dogs as I have grown up with some pretty tough dogs myself. I like to get to know the dog and learn what makes that dog comfortable and put them at ease. I have also owned a dog that had a torn ACL and needed to wear a brace for the rest of her life and have gained experience in handling the brace, medication, and monitoring her activity (it was dangerous for her to be moving too much-- which was a challenge.)

I am willing to drive to your home multiple times a day if needed to accommodate your sweet pet! I have a kitten and an older rescue dog of my own so I am very well versed in different types of personalities of pets. I love to walk, so I will take your doggie on a long walk if desired, early in the morning to beat the heat, or whenever you request! I often take care of friends' dogs and I am known to go above and beyond for the comfort and safety of their beloved dog!

I definitely want to know a dog’s general personality! I have a very reserved and skeptical dog, and as an owner I would want someone who understands his personality before they take care of him! I want to know a dog’s general personality, their tics, any triggers, special needs, etc. Since we live in Charlotte where it gets super hot, I would want to know if they enjoy long walks in the heat or if they prefer the early or late walks to beat the crazy heat! Whatever the owner wants to share, the more information is always welcome!
A typical day
I love to go to neighboring parks, coffee shops, breweries, etc. with the dogs that can handle that type of thing! My own dog is very shy so I understand the shy guys too! With those types of personalities I look for quieter places and neighborhoods, not near busy roads, or in a place they’re familiar with so that they can be as comfortable as possible! I have a church yard in front of my home so I like to take my dog there and he can interact with our neighbors in a quieter more secluded place!

I am currently working part-time and I am able to walk and sit your pets in between shifts, in the morning, afternoon, and/or evening. I am available most days of the week and weekends!
