Pet care experience
Hi everyone, my name is Sydney. A little bit about myself: I recently graduated from Penn State with a bachelors in Human Development and Psychology. Currently, I am attending a graduate program and working towards my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As someone who has always loved animals, I figured this would be a great way to make extra money— doing something I enjoy. I understand the love one has for their pet, and I will ensure they are properly loved and taken care of as I would my own. I am very dependable and reliable. I've had dogs my whole life— a Chocolate Lab, and two German Shepards. That said, I am no stranger to big dogs, and I don’t scare easily. I do have experience taking care of kitties as well, and I have one of my own. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out. Sydney is the most animal oriented person I have ever met. She goes to the animal shelter near her house at least once a week and helps walk all of the dogs there. She walks my dog quite often when she comes over and any time she sees someone with a dog will immediately approach them to pet them. She was in love with her German Shepherd who unfourtunatly passed away and is eager to have many pets when she gets her own house and is allowed to. Sydney is very sweet and caring to everyone around her especially animals and she is a great candidate to watch or take care of Dogs Cats or any kind of pets someone may have.

As someone who has had a temperamental dog and a skittish kitty, I understand the importance of patience when it comes to care. Like people, animals have different traits and temperaments. I like to adjust my care technique accordingly depending on the animal I’m caring for. I have experience around many breeds of dogs and cats — both big and small. I grew up with bigger dogs and am able to properly manage and handle them with care.

Please let me know if your animal has a specific temperament I should be aware of. For instance, if they are slower to warm up to people or have a particular behavior.
A typical day
I love going on walks and adventures with dogs (or cats if they're leashed). I would love to explore around the neighborhood, park, or backyard. I also enjoy playing fetch and running around to release energy. With that said, I am aware that some dogs are a bit older and therefore slower and require additional patience and support.
