Pet care experience
My world revolves around dogs! I have had many dogs of various breeds in my home since I was 3 years old. Working with them is my calling. I am currently attending The Academy for Dog Trainers, where I am mentored and taught by world-renowned positive reinforcement trainer Jean Donaldson. I volunteer my time twice weekly assisting at group training classes at Humane Rescue Alliance in DC and have been walking dogs as my main gig for over 5 years now. I am happy to just get your pooch out and about for some daily exercise and enrichment, or talk with you about some basic walk-and-train options. My job is to figure out what’s best for you and your pup to make your life with them as easy and wonderful as it can and should be!

Sydney is wonderful!! She came to meet us all before the first walks and listened to our concerns and issues with care. She’s very good about being in touch via text for messaging, as well, which really helps during our WFH lifestyles! She arrives promptly, in great spirits, ready to walk our two energetic dogs. They both have a full, enjoyable walk and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of Sydney as the new walking buddy for our puppies! ??
We've had Sydney as both a drop-in caretaker and housesitter for our cat and could not be more happy! She's highly responsive, responsible, knowledgeable, gentle with our cat, and treated our home with care while we were out. Can't recommend her enough!

A typical day
I enjoy walking dogs, getting them out to help meet their daily exercise and sniffing enrichment needs. I will work with reactive dogs with love, patience, and science-based methods to bring them peace and comfort on our walks. No harsh correcting and jerking of their leash when they’re imperfect. I evaluate a dog’s needs and form a plan for each individual. Prefer a play session in your yard or even something else particular to your pooch? Just let me know, I’m here for it!
