Pet care experience
I have loved dogs since I was young. From our family dog Casey to my current dog Jack, I have been caring for dogs large and small, young and old, for 27 years. I am flexible and communicative, offering in-house sitting, drop ins, and walking services. I ensure your dog feels safe and well cared for.

Reviews

Sydney did a great job taking care of our dogs so we could take a day trip. Will definitely seek out her services in the future!
When Syd walked my dog, she had the empathy to notice he didn't want to get too close to the other people around and hung back with him until he was comfortable. Also she cleaned up his vomit, which I appreciated.
Sydney's calm and caring demeanor immediately put my nervous dog at ease (and me too as an anxious dog mom!) I cannot recommend her enough, she is responsible, kind, trustworthy, and great with dogs. Thank you for taking good care of Oliver!
I entrusted Sydney to take care of my incredibly needy cat, Jesse, for a week while on vacation and I could NOT have been more satisfied. She provided twice daily updates, with photos, gave him grooming and play and attention at every visit, and went above and beyond to ensure he was healthy and loved. There is no one else I will now ask to watch him- Syd is it!

In a client’s home, I aim to follow their normal routine for their pet as closely as possible. With a flexible schedule, I am able to accommodate any pet routine, and am willing to administer any extra care a pet needs.
Information Sydney J. would like to know about your pet
To make sure your pet has the best experience and care possible, I will ask the following questions: Daily Routine: What is the dog's daily schedule (feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks)? What are the dog's favorite toys and games? Where does the dog like to sleep? Feeding: What type and how much food does the dog eat? Are there any special dietary needs or allergies? Where are the food and water bowls kept? Is there a preferred feeding schedule? Medications: Does the dog take any medications? How and when should they be administered? Where are the medications kept? What are the dosages? Behavior: Are there any known behavioral issues (e.g., anxiety, aggression, destructive tendencies)? How does the dog react to other animals? What are the dog's boundaries and limits? Walking: What is the dog's preferred walking route? How long are the walks? Where is the leash kept? Other: Does the dog have any special needs (e.g., allergies, medical conditions)? Are there any specific commands or cues the dog responds to? What are the dog's favorite treats? What are the dog's favorite toys and games?
A typical day
Each day of care is entirely dependent on your pets personality and needs. If they are high energy and love to play, the day will be full of exercise and enrichment. If they need extra attention to feel safe, our day will be full of cuddles. If they prefer to be left alone, my job is to be a safe and calm presence in the house. Feeding and care will mimic your pets regular schedule as closely as possible to ensure they feel safe and well cared for.
