Sydney is the most attentive and caring dogcare person I have ever worked with. When I dropped off Una I felt confident she would be taken care of and when I picked Una up she seemed happy as could be. Una and Sydney had a report almost immediately. She got healthy treats and had such fun times with Sydney's three dogs, who are calm, cute and fun to play with! Sydney communicated quickly and frequently ...

Thank you so much! <3 Una is welcome back any time :)

Loving, Experienced Dog Care

Hi! Thanks for visiting my profile.
Sliding scale is available! Just ask. LBGTQTSGNC friendly! Nonsmoking household with a love for rescue dogs.

You'll find me knowledgeable, patient, and kind, with approaches tailored to the needs of each dog. I also have a small rescue poodle, adopted from the SF SPCA in April 2016, and we've traveled across the country by plane and by car, attended Basic Obedience 101 at Tucson's own A Loyal Companion, and ...

When Sydney watches your pet

* Fun, active walks in local grassy parks
I love taking my dog to Reid Park's spacious and grassy grounds, as well as Himmel Park, also grassy and fun to sniff around in. Limberlost Family Park is one of my dog's favorite places to visit. On any outing, I always bring water for my canine companion(s) and a collapsible, food-safe silicone bowl, along with treats for recall and to keep things fun.

* Safe car rides to dog-friendly treat stores, like OK Feed and Supply and PetSmart:
My car is equipped with a backseat hammock with harness restraints, as well as a booster seat for safety! I am aware of local laws and ensure that your dog is safe, in climate-controlled environments, and is comfortable and treated like a dear friend.

* Positive Reinforcement Protocols:
I do not use sprays, yelling, or other "corrections" for any dogs. While I will use a stern, "No!", I do not use any aversive methods that cause fear in dogs. My approach is calm, patient, assertive, and based on mutual trust and building safety. I am comfortable working with shy, anxious, and fearful dogs, and dogs who are healing from trauma. For these dogs, I have a hands-free lead, as well as a treat bag that clips around my waist. Poop bags are always on-hand! Grain-free treats are what I offer to your dog family member.
