Pet care experience
I have owned animals my whole life, both cats and dogs. I have owned/ co-owned big dogs, medium dogs, small dogs, older dogs, energetic dogs, lazy dogs, snuggly dogs, etc. I have also owned big and small cats, lazy cats, somewhat mean cats, snuggly cats, energetic cats, etc. I have dog walking experience, bathing experience, and dietary restriction experience. I recently moved out of a house with a roommate where we co-owned a Rhodesian ridgeback and black mouth curr mix named Kamila, and I am no longer a co-owner, and I miss being with her so much. I am not in a situation to own a pet right now so pet sitting is the perfect job!

Sydney is great with cats and dogs! She has lots of experience caring for both and she is very loving, affectionate, and responsible. She adopted a dog, Kamila, with her college roommates two years ago and there are very few dogs out there more loved and cared for than Kamila. Syd is perfect for this job!

It all depends on how the owner wants me to care for their animal. I work for the owners! I have never had a fenced in yard so I always would take a dog outside on a leash to go to the bathroom, and I have had experience with both dogs that have a feeding schedule and free eating dogs. I love going on walks if the dog is capable, and I also love playing inside whether it is a dog or a cat. I know brain enrichment is super important for animals so making sure they get some of that as well and not just physical exercise is something I pay attention to.

I would like to know how well the dog does with other animals. On walks if there is another animal around, how will the dog most likely react? What can I do to calm and or distract the dog in these situations. What behavior does the owner not want accepted/ positive reinforcement for? Do I need to be extra aware if a dog will go potty in the house? Just the pretty basic information that will make everything run smoothly!
A typical day
I love taking dogs to a fenced in area to let them run around and play in a non-restricted area. I love throwing balls/toys for dogs to fetch and I love running around with the dogs/being chased and sometimes even tackled to the ground by them. I also love snuggle time and giving lots of pets and scratches. I like teaching dogs new tricks and playing little games with them for mental enrichment, such as hiding treats around a room or using those treat devises that the dogs have to basically solve the puzzle ton get the treats as well.

I recently just started at a new job in a full time position. I do work 10 hour shifts but I can always request a longer break throughout my day to come and check on any fur babies!!
