Unfortunately, I booked with Sydney this weekend to watch my animals for 4 days, Thursday afternoon through Monday morning. I communicated the detailed feeding and walking schedule for my 1 dog and 2 cats multiple times when she came over to meet them, and the day that I was leaving. Firstly, I came home to a big puddle of pee from my dog. My dog is used to being alone for up to 7 hours when I go to work. She’s only had an accident 1 time in the last YEAR. She is trained to wait until she goes outside. Poor dog ran outside the second I opened the door and went pee again and went #2 without even sniffing for the right spot first :( I left exactly 14 containers of food for my dog, pre portioned and put into the freezer with instructions to remove them and put them in the fridge at night, so they would be thawed out by the morning (my dog eats raw meat and veggies only) and there are still 5 containers left in the freezer. Only 9 containers were eaten. As for my cats, the only thing they needed from her was clean water and fresh food. I bought so much food for them, only about 6 cans were touched Maximum. Meaning in the span of 4 1/2 days, my cats were only given about 3 cans of cat food each.. they eat 3 each a DAY. She left the cat bowls and dog bowl with dry crusty food all around them. All 3 water bowls are filthy. There’s stuff in the water and she didn’t even clean it for them :( AND SHE CLOGGED MY TOILET AND LEFT IT CLOGGED! So ignore everything she messed up with the animals.. she didn’t even have the decency to unclog the toilet and left it there for me to see and deal with. There is dry cat food all over the carpet. She didn’t open any of the treats or toys I left for my dog :( I am so upset that this is my first experience with a pet sitter, and I will not be using this service again. Please do yourself a favor and book with someone else. I trusted her so much. And when I tried to talk to her about the situation, she just said she would refund my tip. It’s not about the money.. it’s about the well being of my animals. If you can’t do your job correctly, don’t do it at all. It’s not fair to the pet owners or for the pets themselves. If you care for your animals, please book with someone else.
