Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs of all sizes, and started taking care of my large breed dogs at 10. I’ve volunteered with animal shelters, pet sat for friends and family, and walked dogs of all sizes. I have experience with small and large breeds, and am a proud “dog sis” to two Great Danes, a Golden Retriever, and an Airedale. I’ve also worked with leash training puppies before. I also have a lot of experience with cats and cat sitting, as I’ve watched cats of all ages for friends and family in the past in addition to volunteering with cats at the animal shelter.

When walking dogs, I am always careful to understand the dog I’m walking and to match its pace. I also have experience with more reactive dogs, so I keep an eye out for potential triggers (other animals, construction equipment, etc.) to reduce stress on the pup. I am also a huge fan of positive reinforcement through verbal cues and pets.

Please let me know ahead of time if your dog is reactionary toward other dogs, people, noises, squirrels, etc., as well as common command words that you use, so that I can make sure to provide them with the safest experience possible. If your dog also has any particular things that they love, please share!
A typical day
I give any and all dogs under my care lots of love and attention, and make sure to find nice green areas close by for them to enjoy on walks. I also work to match the pace of the dog, as I know high energy dogs like to walk a bit faster to burn off some steam.
