My name is Sydney; I have a degree in Integrative Biology and I have a wonderful husband that is a personal trainer and a 3 year old son. I have had some species of animal in my life since I was born. I have a true passion for animals but am slightly biased to dogs (lets face it I'm a dog lover). I would love to help your pet have a positive and relaxing experience while you are away by exciting all of their senses. I provide services on a case to case basis depending on your animals activity and anxiety levels. I have 4 years of experience as a veterinary assistant/ technician where I drew blood, measured heart rates, ran lab work, scheduled appointments, typed invoices, assisted in surgery, performed dentals, advised owners, filled prescriptions, and provided bathing and nail trims. According to the ASPCA’s National Rehoming Survey, pet problems are the most common reason that owners rehome their pet, accounting for 47% of rehomed dogs and 42% of rehomed cats. Pet problems were defined as problematic behaviors, aggressive behaviors, grew larger than expected, or health problems owner couldn’t handle. This is why I have a passion for helping owners care for their pets. If you can teach an owner how to properly care for and train their individual pet, you can prevent them from becoming another animal in an overflowing animal shelter.
