Pet care experience
I am currently attending the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and would love to have a part time job with animals while I'm in school. I've worked in Veterinary clinics for the last 5 years, so I have a ton of knowledge, experience and passion when it comes to caring for people's pets. You're pets would be in great hands with me if something would ever happen, since I am very knowledgeable in the veterinary medicine field. I have 2 dogs of my own, so I completely understand needing some extra help to keep our "fur-children" happy and healthy! My availability is pretty flexible since my job is school. I have class Monday - Friday, so I would be available for any overnight stays. I can also come to your house in the morning before my classes start, I have an hour lunch break, so I can stop by and play/walk your dogs and then I usually get out of class around 3/4 so I'm free anytime after that. I'm also willing to have overnight care at my own home. I have a huge fenced in backyard and 2 dogs of my own for your fur-babies to play with! And I am completely free on the weekends. The big things I would like to know about your pet are if they are "dog-friendly" towards other dogs, if they are food aggressive and any allergies or medical issues that I would need to be aware about (arthritis, back pain, etc.)
A typical day
I live very close to the highland road park in the Kenilworth subdivision, so that would be a great place to take your dog for a walk if they are staying with me. If your home is too far from there, I will do my research and find a safe place to take your pet for walks. Depending on he age and breed, I can take your dog for a run. And of course fetch and tug-o-war are always great ways to keep any dog active. I am also very good at training dogs if that is something you would also be interested in.
