I'm a Californian that recently moved to LI, and sadly, I don't get to hang out with my friends' and family's dogs anymore after the move. I want to primarily be a dog walker and visitor but I will also do overnights for dogs/clients that I have gotten to know. Doggy daycare is available during weekdays! I have mostly taken care of loved ones' dogs (busy life events, vacation). Their dogs have needed medications, had joint problems/issues with long walks, and also had some bladder incontinence and jumping-on-people habits. So, I've seen some stuff... Pet care experiences: birds, cats, dogs, fish --> I don't mind feeding the other animals too if you need me to (when I stop by) Availability: my schedule is pretty flexible on the weekdays but weekends I may be out of town every once in a while. Special skills: I have taken care of stronger/muscular dogs in the past. If you let me know, I also will help maintain any training that you are doing with your dog (sit/stay/not jumping on people/no sitting on furniture/etc.). In general, I am a medical student and former EMT so I have a pretty good sense of when living creatures need medical attention. Unfortunately, I'm not trained in doggy CPR but I have been teaching human CPR for a while now.
