Hello! Thank you for considering me to care for your dog while you're away. Dogs staying with me will enjoy going on typically one longer walk per day (depending on your dog’s needs). As far as potty breaks, I typically take them out 3-4 times a day: early morning, midday, evening, and right before bed. I’m happy to make any accommodations. You can expect updates & pictures in the morning and evening. My neighborhood is extremely pet-friendly. Also, my apartment is very clean and clutter free. I always make sure to do a final sweep before any dogs comes over to ensure there won’t be any crumbs on the floor that could upset their stomachs. Just to provide a little background on myself, I am a new lawyer and have lived in D.C. for about seven years. I am originally from California. I have taken care of my Maltese, Babie, for 17 years. She now lives her best suburban life with my family back home in California. I potty trained her, took her on walks, played with her, cuddled her, and took her to doctor's visits. I have also volunteered at the D.C. Rural Dog Rescue. I volunteered for their weekend adoption events. Each shift a volunteer is assigned to a dog. We walk the dog around the neighborhood in the hopes that someone will adopt them. I also have experience taking care of my friends’ dogs whenever they go out of town. I am confident I can provide the same love, care, and affection for your dog as I always have for Babie.
