I have always loved dogs since I was a kid but have never been able to own one. I am on a research break from surgery residency, which consisted of demanding work schedules and long shifts and prevented me from getting a dog of my own. Right now, I have much more free time but am reluctant to get my own dog because I'll be returning to the busy surgery lifestyle in two years. In the meantime, I get my dog love fix through helping out with dog care with several friends who are dog owner. I've loved taking their dogs out on walks, to dog parks, going on runs, for hikes, and just hanging out and having couch snuggles. One of my friends has dubbed me her Bernese's doggie godmother. I am happy to provide references from people that I've dogsat for in the past.
