Pet care experience
I grew up always having 2-3 animals in my home, and started pet sitting for other people when I was 16. I have experience giving insulin shots to both cats and dogs. I’ve also taken care of an elderly dog almost immediately post-surgery, so I’m aware of the unique needs of elderly and special needs dogs.

I have 2 (dog-friendly) cats and a dog, Dexter, who also stays with my parents at times. If I were to pet sit in my own home, I would take Dexter to my parents’ to avoid any conflicts (although he is a well-behaved and social dog). However, the 2 cats will still be in my home. I do not have a fenced-in yard, but I do have a runner set up that allows Dexter to still have some independence outside. I’m also willing to walk dogs on a leash at my house if you’re not comfortable with me using a runner. I will ask specific questions about how you would like your pet to be cared for and follow all instructions given to me, whether in my own home or yours.

A typical day
I will follow all instructions given to me as far as what the dog’s day in my care should look like. I love playing with dogs in whatever manner they’re comfortable with. I’m very used to high-energy dogs, but also senior dogs who don’t play much. I have plenty of dog toys and treats that Dexter doesn’t mind sharing!
