Pet care experience
I'm Suzanne, a fully vaccinated New York City native living the Pacific Northwest dream. Running an animal adventure program is my main profession. This means that I take animals all over Portland, using safe personal transportation, to play in parks and take on walks. I have experience working with animals of all kinds, including bunnies, goats, sheep, chickens, frogs, tortoises, and even geckos. I also work with animals that have different needs. For example, I cared for a pregnant dog and delivered her puppies. I have prior experience working as a pet supervisor and kennel cleaner at doggy daycares all over the northwest. I am willing to take that extra step in order to make sure your furry family receives the love and care that they deserve.
Reviews
Max has so much fun with Suzanne, I appreciate her communication, professionalism and it’s so nice to now have a consistent and experienced contact for dog sitting and daycare. Highly recommend!
Great communication and my boy has so much fun!
This was my second booking with Suzanne, and she was terrific again! She took really great care of my kitty and home.
Suzanne was great staying over night with our dog Julius. He has some separation anxiety, medication needs, and can get a little riled up around other dogs. She managed all of these challenges well and we came home to a happy and well-loved pup. Thank you Suzanne!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a smoking free household. I don't have roommates or any children (unless you count my cat). When I’m boarding an animal, they are allowed on furniture and on my bed. Also I just installed a baby gate to prevent boarders from bolting out the door or entering the bathroom where my cat's food and litter box is. If you are a multi-animal owner, I will encourage you to book me for house sitting. When I house sit, I don’t share your personal information or address with others along with whether you're away or not. I also make sure that your home is tidy before leaving and offer a walkthrough so that you know there is no property damage or missing belongings. Daycares are a multi dog program where I pick up your dog, take them to an off leash area and have them exercise and socialize for a few hours. We aim for 3 hours out of the house but this can vary due to weather. Walks are an individualized booking where I take your dog on leash for a walk around the neighborhood.

Information Suzanne W. would like to know about your pet
Your pet's safety is my number 1 priority along with the safety of other people’s pets. I live in an animal friendly building and am a cat mom so if you choose to book me for boarding, it would be ideal that your pet be comfortable with other animals. If I need to leave your fur babies alone, I try to keep my time away to a maximum of 4 hours so that they don't get bored or lonely. Your animals are safe with me!
A typical day
Your animals will get lots of exercise and sleep well at night under my care. I live in an apartment in North Portland near the Mississippi District and close to a lot of dog parks. Due to Covid, we aren't going into eateries or shops, but if I need to make a trip to Mud Bay, which is on the downstairs level of my building, I take the dogs with me. We try to avoid mud puddles and stick to parks that I'm already familiar with.

Availability
Pet care is my full time job. I run my business on a first come first serve basis. I do have a cancellation list so if your requested booking coincides with another client's booking and that client happens to cancel, I will schedule you. I run daytime bookings like walks and daycares Mondays through Fridays. Boarding and housesitting bookings are any day of the week, and overnights can be any length of time.
