Pet care experience
Hi there fellow pet lovers! After many years of taking care of my fur baby Senna, a Labrador mix, who passed away at a respectable age of 15.5, I really missed having a pet around. Senna had Cushing's disease (brain tumor) and as she grew older the usual shortcomings of an elderly dog appeared as well. Despite having a pet that was sickly and old, I never thought twice about all the work it entailed. I would always put her first. Because of my experience with a needy pet and the constant worrying about her health, I know how important it is to have someone trustworthy taking care of your furry family member. My parents and brother helped me out more times than I can count. I am so thankful for that and that's why I want to help out other pet parents who also need someone reliable to fall back on. Before taking on the responsibility of being a dog owner, as I was younger I had pet rabbits, fish, turtles and stick insects. I have been with Rover since 2014 and over the years I have taken care of many different breeds of dogs, cats and foster kittens, ducks and other birds like parrots and even a chinchilla!
Reviews
Our little Rosie clearly had the best time yet again with Suzanne. We always appreciate a happy, loved-on, well-cared for pooch and all of the updates and pics sent during our time away. Many thanks again Suzanne and we hope to see you again soon!
This time my dog spent almost two weeks with Suzanne at his home away from home. He had a ball ( and got to play a lot of ball ) and came home a happy boy. I’m so grateful to Suzanne for the great care and loving attention she gives him!
Our dogs love Suzanne. She does a great job of taking care of our pets while we are away.
Suzanne is excellent. Our dogs really like her.

I currently have a doggy play area set up on our backyard lawn. I connected 2 sets of 8 panel 30" tall metal play pens and secured them to the ground. I also have a 30 ft dog tether for further venturing onto the lawn. Additional I have a nice deck, as I like to sit outside, with a canopy for shade and chicken wire along the the baluster so that even the tiniest of dogs are safe and cannot fall through. I will always be present with your pet outside, whether they are in the playpen, on the deck or on the tether. Because our current home does not have a completely fenced in yard, I can only take in pups under 40 lbs. There are no weight restrictions for dogs in THEIR own home. Supplies: I have a big plastic crate (up to 100 lbs) and a smaller metal wire crate, I have a bigger bed and a smaller bed with burrow flap, a retractable leash and a couple easy-walk harnesses, feeding and water bowls of different sizes, many toys and snacks, plenty of poop bags. But always feel free to bring whatever necessary. In case of transportation, I have 2 doggy seatbelts and a car seat cover.

I love all breeds and sizes but in our current home I can only take in smaller dogs under 40 lbs. When I house sit in your home, size/weight does not matter. Boarding: minimum of 2 nights, house sitting minimum of 3 nights. Information about your dog I find important to know: How much exercise and walks they need per day and time of first and last walk of the day; What is their feeding and snack routine; Do they take medication or do they have any allergies. ALWAYS put your pets vet info in their profile. I have also familiarized myself with emergency vet clinics in the area; If there is an anxiety issue, how does it portrait itself and what needs to be done to calm the dog down; Where in the house do they like to sleep? I do have 2 crates and 1 fits dogs up to a 100 lbs but if you would like to bring their own basket or pillow, that is absolutely fine; I also ask a pet owner to treat their dog for ticks and flees; All pups need to be house trained; I can only take in multiple dogs when they are from the same family. PETS MUST BE TREATED FOR FLEAS AND TICKS. PETS MUST HAVE UPDATED SHIOTS FOR KENNEL COUGH. FOR HOUSESITTING AND BOARDING: PRICE PER NIGHT IS PER 24 HOURS SO START AND STOP TIME OR DROP OFF AND PICK UP TIME NEED TO BE AROUND THE SAME TIME. IF NOT POSSIBLE AN ADDITIONAL FEE IS CHARGED. I CHARGE $0.60/MILE (GAS MILEAGE) IN REGARDS TO COMMUTE BETWEEN YOUR HOUSE AND MINE FOR WALKS AND DROP-IN VISITS. HOLIDAY RATE FOR DOG WALKING: $20/WALK, ADDITIONAL DOG: $10 HOUSESITTING RATE IS PER NIGHT, NOT PER NIGHT PER PET. There is a glitch in the Rover website that charges per night/pet, but I will manually adjust that total price down. PayPal info if you want to tip your pet sitter: @SPecak
A typical day
Depending on the weather, after all Ohio summers can be brutally hot and humid, I will take your dog on shorter but more walks per day. On hot days it will be early morning or later evening walks and throughout the day potty breaks in the backyard. Our neighborhood is very green and dog friendly. There are parks not to far from our house as well. I have an array of toys they can play with and a couple nice (washable) beds for comfortable naps. As I mentioned before, I love to be outside and your pups can join me out on the deck and sun bathe :) If your pet needs a bath, no problem! I will also brush them daily if needed and I give excellent massages :)

Pet sitting for Rover is currently my full time job so I am home at all times with your pet and am able to take them outside for walks and potty breaks all throughout the day.
