My spouse and I needed a safe, welcoming home for day boarding our beloved Golden Retriever in Steamboat Springs, CO. I identified Suzanne through Rover.com. I was so pleased with Rover.com, and especially with Suzanne. Our Golden immediately took to Suzanne, who is essentially a 'dog whisperer'. She made him feel right at home, and she even had a beautiful Bernese Mountain dog that our Golden could play with. The day we dropped our dog off, there was heavy snowfall. Nevertheless, Suzanne took him on 2 walks even though our Golden hesitated to go, probably because he was timid in a new neighborhood and the snow plows were out plowing the streets. I felt that our dog had wonderful care with Suzanne and my wife and I never worried that he was in any distress. Suzanne made sure that he could be outside on her fenced in deck and could enjoy his surroundings. Even better yet, her wonderful son interacted with our dog as well. Altogether, Suzanne has a wonderful family and her home is absolutely beautiful and perfectly set up for hosting a dog. Suzanne is warm, caring, compassionate, and especially kind, and these attributes are reflected in her son, as well as conveyed to her own dog, to our dog, and her whole family. I highly recommend Suzanne for dog boarding (whether that is 1 night or multiple nights), with absolutely no reservations. She was the perfect caretaker of our beloved Golden named Cosmo. Suzanne and her family treated Sophie like one of their own. They were extremely considerate of her special needs as an older dog and I felt safe leaving my gal in their care! We will definitely use them again the next time we’re in Steamboat.
