I’m not working anymore so I’m home and around all the time to tend to my pets. I devote a great deal of time to caring for my dogs. We have 2 rescues, one Staffordshire bull terrier and one jack Russell, 3 parakeets, and 5 fish. My husband and 2 teenagers also help out and give all the animals lots of attention, walking them and playing fetch. One dog sleeps on my daughter’s bed and the other one sleeps with my son. I can’t imagine life without these animals! They bring so much joy into our lives! Before my dogs, I also had a Persian cat for 16 years when I was single. After I got married we had a beautiful Bijion frise for 11 years, he passed in 2004. But I also had a baby to care for back then, so didn’t jump right in to getting another dog right away. I knew we would find another one again at some point when the time was right. So we waited 6 years till my kids were school age before adopting my Rusty, who we’ve had for the past 9 years. In 2017 he came down with IVDD (spinal cord disease) which affects his walking. But otherwise is in good health. Then last year we adopted little Ollie, as a companion to him, to help get him moving and lift his spirits. Both dogs get along well and we love them so much!!
