Hi! We're the Kelly Family! Business hours are between 8am and 9pm for drop off and pick up. We can adjust these hours: within reason. Our apartment is a spacious, light filled ,warm and very friendly environment in the West Village. We are a brother and sister of mature years, one of us is a musician, the other a visual artist.We continue to enjoy the company of many of our repeat guests and look forward to having your pup or two join our growing family. An added bonus is either both or one of us is always closeby for a cuddle as we work from our shared home so there is no cause for concern around feeling abandoned.In fact, some of our guests are reluctant to leave because of the generous amount of attention they get. We accommodate dogs who are 40 pounds or less and are 2 years or older.Spayed or neutered, all vaccinations up to date/current.We live in a duplex where stairs connect the living area with the upper floor. A great way to get a lot of exercise going up and down.We can also carry your loved one up and down these stairs if they need extra assistance. We are not trained to administer injections or board dogs with extreme medical conditions. We will adhere to special dietary needs and can administer oral medication. Please ask and we will be happy to work with you on this. Your pup can be slightly neurotic, even quirky,(we love quirky) as long as they have been trained to follow commands and are leash trained. Please let us know in your profile if there are any issues with aggression towards other dogs. Our neighborhood is densely populated with many dogs therefore an ability to do well on the street when walked or taken to parks is strongly advised. We are not trainers: we just make sure your dog is safe, well loved, and treated with great care and respect. We are very big on giving up our bed, providing hugs and infinite affection.There is no shortage of allowable sleeping surfaces in our home. So that your dog vacation goes smoothly and happily, we ask that there is full disclosure on your part and ahead of time regarding any behavior or health issues with your dog. This will happen with a Meet-n-Greet either by phone/email then followed up in person in our home. We will only host dogs that are fully housebroken and looking to find comfort, routine and a predictable schedule in our clean and orderly home. Susannah has been our only sitter (outside of family) for at least 7 years. She is always prompt to respond to requests and so easy to work with in terms of scheduling, whether it be a weekend or two weeks. Honestly we’re near certain Chewie would rather live in the city with Susannah and her brother than us out in the suburbs. That’s right, we love and trust her so much that we’ll commute to Manhattan from CT to drop him off. She is attentive to him and all his needs (medicated separation anxiety). She’s a true gem and we love her like family. My little girls always know Chewie is off on his own vacation when he visits with Susannah!
Five stars! The Kelly’s are fabulous!! My 3-year old rescue, Lexi, had never stayed with someone else so I was nervous about how she was going to adjust for a 2-week stay. Susannah was so reassuring, and confident that Lexi would settle in after a few days. They followed Lexi’s established routine of walks and treats and … she was right! A couple rocky days morphed into a mutual love fest! Susannah communicated every day, often twice a day, with lots of photos (belly rubs, ball playing, tug-o-war) and questions and comments. The whole experience turned into a great staycation for Lexi and a no-worry trip for me. Im delighted that the Kelly’s can be Lexi’s permanent home away from home for years to come! ??
Oh my goodness, Susannah was AMAZING!! I left Agatha with her for two weeks while I went to England and she took such great care of her, it was such a relief to find her! She kept me updated with photos and updates every single day, and Agatha had the best time, she didn't want to leave! I will definitely be using her again, I can't even describe what a relief it was to know Agatha was so well taken care of and loved while I was away. I can't say enough nice things about Susannah! Thank you so much!!!

We never leave your dogs off leash, outside a store if we need to do an errand, observe the rules of making sure they are always wearing their ID tags and not able to run outside unaccompanied. Also, we respect each pup’s level of comfort re visiting a dog park. Our sensitivity towards their sensitivity has been well honed over the years so we are great at picking up on their signals. Living in a city will train you to be highly mindfull of all the dogs you walk and encounter.We carefully screen each guest to make sure they are compatible with one another. Typically we take at the most two dogs at a time to avoid crowding.

A typical day
Lots of cuddling and kisses.Long walks to the three different dog parks if you wish. Play in our large downstairs apartment.A lot of social interaction with other dogs in the neighborhood if you wish.Quiet time in the bed of your choice if you wish. Option to sleep with host or alone if you wish. Since we are an adult family of two and work from home we never leave your pup alone.So there will always be companionship available if desired.

we are a brother and sister team that share a duplex in an artist housing environment. Our home is an oasis of generous space, any place you care to sleep, and quiet. We are both artists and live and work from our home. The best thing in the world is to have a dog or two sharing the space with us.
