Fur babies are family
Pet care experience
My main occupation is at a pet resort so I learn a lot of my pet handling skills from there. However, my passion for animals came from when I adopted my dog from a shelter 4 years ago. Actually, all of my pets are adopted. The last time I volunteered at a shelter in San Marcos I adopted a kitten. Then lastly my Chow (my boyfriend’s dog) was also adopted and I just see him as part of my pack now. I have grown up around all kinds of animals! We use to go to the ranch and visit the horses, goats, and chickens all the time. I never thought this would be a career for me before I met Jo at the shelter but I wouldn’t have it any other way now!
Reviews
Susan is amazing, can’t recommend her enough. She helped us out last minute, and did such a great job with our pup while we were gone. THANK YOU! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
our dog is tough to walk but susan does a great job and our dog loves her!!
Susan was great with Cooper! She played with him, fed him, walked him and was very respectful of my home. Would highly recommend her
Susan was great! Our anxious dog took to her right away and they had a great time together. Thank you!

Safety, trust & environment
I currently am only offering in house sitting at the clients home, dog walking, and drop ins because I do own a 50 pound husky, 40 pound chow and a kitten in a small one bedroom apartment. If My Space situation changes I will update my access to helping with your fur baby. However, I am willing to travel to your home to take care of your fur babies need. Nowhere is too far!
Information Susan W. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or any concerns you have that need extra attention. I’m comfortable with taking care with any adversities when provided with ample instructions and a heads up to acclimate. Also I am in a new job role were I will be learning more special needs skills.
A typical day
Since I work at a pet resort that has doggie day care I do take my dogs to work with me quite often and that’s how they get a lot of their play time/exercise. However, I love taking them on hikes at Barton springs, mueller farmers market and browse or have a chill time at silver park. We even go to canyon lake for a swim sometimes when it’s not unbearably hot. If it’s rainy or too cold we do brain games inside; like puzzles, hide treats and seek or simply just playing with toys and running around!

Availability
I currently work at a pet resort and boarding, so I do ask for at least 2 days notice when care is needed, but will accept last minute needs based on my availability.
