Pet care experience
I have been a dog and cat mom for 28+ years and have experience working with elderly and disabled animals. I love spending time getting to know new animals and I treat all pets as if they were my own. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy long walks day or night with dogs around the neighborhood or at local forest preserves. I own a SUV and inclement weather will not impact my ability to get to your beloved pet and provide them with the attention and love that they need and deserve while you are away. I love all animals and have personal experience owning and caring for cats, dogs, fish, reptiles, and amphibians.

I would love to spend time outside with your dogs in the yard if fenced or on a leash if it’s not (just to keep them safe!) They might be taken for a short walk around your neighborhood if they enjoy those too, weather pending of course! My job is to care for your pet when I am with them, so I will do my best to make sure they have ample time to potty and play, or work on any commands/training you might be working on with them. I’ll check their food/water situation and tend to that if needed. If you have cats, I will spend time playing with them in their favorite areas of your home with their toys- or just giving them pets and cuddles. I know that the mood of a cat can vary from day to day, so I will do my best to read their energy and give them what they’re wanting in that moment. I will make sure their litter is clean and the food/water is maintained. I strive to be a safe caregiver for your beloved fur babies, and to be someone who you and your animals trust, while being reliable, flexible and punctual. I take those things very seriously.

Please let me know if your animal has any kind of special needs, requires any medication(s) or has any special food preparation needs so I can familiarize myself with the routine. I believe that meet and greets are very important, whether it’s last minute or 2 months in advance, I want to confirm that your pet feels safe with me and that you feel confident in allowing me to care for your animal(s).
A typical day
I love to spoil the animals under my care. I will do my best to make sure that they are mentally stimulated while I visit, whether that means playing with toys with them or just sitting on the floor giving them affection. I love walking around the neighborhood to let dogs experience new smells and sounds.

I have plenty of time to spend with your beloved pet(s)! I’m available pretty much any time of the day. I work part-time from home, which allows me the ability to meet the specific needs of your pet(s) and provide them with a lot of one-on-one time.
