Call me Sooz. :) I grew up with cats, gerbils, rodents and outdoor dogs, and have always loved animals. My entire adult life have had 1 (usually two) indoor dogs, from puppies to seniors. Currently we (my husband, 12 year old son and I) have 2 dogs (an older Chihuahua mix and a 3 year old Beagle), as well a ball python and several toads. :) We live in the Clear Lake area close to NASA. I carry Pet Care Insurance as well, so I can only have 5 guests at a time.

I can't say enough good things about Susan. She kept me informed daily with pictures & messages, and did an awesome job caring for my Weimaraner- KYRO. Having to leave him for a week was definitely different for both of us because he is like my shadow daily. Knowing there are people like Susan that truly care about going the extra mile made things much easier. I will not hesitate to use her again and will strongly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter.
Susan was very prompt and thorough, kept me up to date on everything. Titus, in particular, had a great time. Looked like a puppy in all of the pictures sent.

I will follow all instructions from the pet owner with meticulous care! Walking, feeding, cuddling, clean-up or whatever else is needed to ensure your pet feels safe and loved. ❤ For boarding - we have 2 crates (only if needed/requested by the owner), tile/laminate floors, and a big fenced in backyard. We prefer small/medium sized dogs due to the height of our rear fence (3' chain link) - our own dogs are only 10 and 20 lbs but we have boarded large dogs with great success as well. We allow free roaming in the house but have baby gates should separation be necessary, and we will take them out in the backyard as often as they need! We let them sleep wherever they please, too. We are pretty pet-centric around here!

Let me know if your dog is timid or nervous, and whether they are more of a "mouth" dog or a "paw" dog. I want to them to know that they are safe with us. We also need to know if they are an escape risk so that we can be extra cautious if so.
A typical day
I know how important exercise is for dogs! With my own high energy pup we play lots of fetch and tug. My 12 year old son never runs out of energy and adores dogs so he will give them plenty of active playtime if they want it. I let the dog take the lead when it comes to playtime. When they are tired I can switch to belly-rubs and back scratches. We live against Exploration Green (Clear Lake Area not far from NASA), so we have a beautiful lake right behind our house with a one-mile path around it. For boarding- please no drop.off or pick up between 830 and 11:30 am on Sundays as we are church-goers.

Availability
I work in public education, so I am off weekends, holidays, and during the summer. That means I have plenty of time to love and pamper your pups! During the summer I can board on weekdays and weekends, During the academic year I board on weekends and most holidays, but if you need boarding during the week, and you don't mind your pup being left home (with mine) while we are at work and school, arrangements can be made.
