I’ll be your pets other best friend

Pet care experience

Hi! I've had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, they've been a huge part of me. Currently I am a “sister” to my mom’s dog Sammy and mom to my four cats Maple, Gidget, Coral, & Calypso! I believe not everyone can do this job, as it takes someone who is dedicated and loving to care for your fur babies.I have experience working an animal hospital as a vet tech, kennel tech, and a client service representative so I have been lucky to gain lots of experience with hands on learning! I am a student who is doing clinical teaching this semester therefor my availability isn't as flexible from January 2024-May 2024. My schedule would be a best match for families looking for an overnight sitter, for a pet who is used to parents being out during work/school hours, or pets that have access to a doggy door! I love both dogs and cats, and I do not have much experience with "exotic" pets but I am open to learning! If you have any questions regarding my availability please feel free to reach out(: Unfortunately, I cannot have any pets boarding at home additional to my own. I would happily care for yours in the comfort of their home.

Susan is INCREDIBLE! We booked her two weekends in a row over the holidays, and she was extremely responsive, kind, and easy to work with. She sent a TON a photos of our two boys, gave out treats and supplements, and prepared their meals how they’re used to. She also played with them and cuddled them the whole 30 minutes. Susan was incredibly understanding of our Labrador who is skittish around new people, and now I swear they’re best friends. She also took care of our home without being asked (swept up grass the dogs brought inside, turned off a heater we left on, brought our packages in, etc.) I seriously cannot recommend her enough!!!!

I am so grateful we found Susan! She went above and beyond checking in on our kitty while we were away for a week. It was evident that she takes pride in her pet sitting duties and genuinely cares about the animal she is taking care of. Thanks so much for loving our sweet boy, always keeping us in the know, and sending the cutest photos! Hope to book with you again in the future.

Susan is awesome! She took such good care of my pup, communicated well and often, and sent lots of pictures. She also took great care of the house and was very respectful. I would definitely recommend Susan and will be using her again!

The pets well-being is my number one priority so I am very flexible after school hours and I am focused on doing whatever is needed for your furbabies. That may include but not limited to introducing myself prior to our first visit, understanding that I’m in their home and I need to be patient and respect them if they are not ready to socialize with me right off the bat and being observant on what the pet may need during my time with them.

A typical day

I love to go for dog walks around the neighborhood so they can see the birds and soak in some sun. In colder weather I typically love to snuggle up with furbabies and watch a good movie in the evening time or play fetch inside/outside if your pet has lots of energy!
