Exclusive Care, 1 Dog at a Time
Pet care experience
Safe, Loving Environment. I've had dogs or cats since my early twenties. Over the years, many neighbors have trusted me to care for their dogs, cats, and birds of prey. I have not seen a skunk in my area and hope to never have to de-skunk another pet, but I can do baths if your rover decides to roll in something smelly. I took care of a diabetic cat for six years. He was on insulin twice a day and it had to be delivered right on time. I am patient and devoted to excellence.
Reviews
Susan was great! would definitely use her again. She was available last minute when another sitter cancelled. She was very sweet and her home offers my pup the tranquil environment he needed.
Susan has been fabulous caring for my dog, Celie. We have had multiple visits leading up to a longer stay because Celie struggles with anxiety at times. Susan's household is similar to mine, and her quiet, peaceful home environment, along with Susan's care, were all helpful factors. We will continue to use Susan as we work to increase Celie's comfortability level with being away from home.
Susan was a wonderful sitter for my fur baby! Polo really enjoyed his staycation with her. Thank you again, Susan, for taking great care of him!
Susan and her family were great with Dembe! She sent lots of fun pictures, cleaned the dog's food and water bowls, and helped me get to my car in the pouring rain whenever it was time to go. Highly recommend!

As a senior person I am not able to handle dogs requiring extensive walks or runs; but, if you have a very large couch potato we will be great together. I prefer not to crate but will if owner requested. Furniture is covered so your baby is allowed to curl up and be part of the family. Your baby will be leashed whenever we go outside unless we go to a dog park. I have had human first aid and CPR training and dog/cat first aid long ago. Thank heavens I have never been required to use it on any pets.

Information Susan R. would like to know about your pet
A meet and greet prior to the first visit is preferred. We all need to know how comfortable your baby will be in my home. Please note I do have two cats so if your baby likes to chase cats we are probably not a good match. I prefer the owner to supply a note with any special instructions, vet information, and any emergency contact numbers. They should also bring any medications with instructions, a special blanket or toy, food, harness and leash. If you want to provide a bed, car safety harness, etc. please feel free to bring it.
A typical day
Alarm at 7:30 followed by a short walk and breakfast. Activities throughout the day are determined by owner preference and the age of the dog. I prefer several short walks throughout the day followed by a treat. If owner approved, we can take a car ride to the local park. Dinner is between 5:00 and 6:00 PM. Bedtime around 10:00.

Availability
I am retired and live in a quiet neighborhood with private streets. I love to take dogs on car rides (weather permitting and with permission). I've even taken our labby to the river to swim. If your fur friend loves soft ice cream cones, that can be arranged. Of course, treats are with your permission and direction but I love to spoil them.
