Pet care experience
I am always happy to make new dog friends. When dogs stay with me they become part of the family. I never leave them alone, and we take walks every couple of hours. My mellow beagle Ted is totally welcoming of foster brothers and sisters for the day, unless they are incorrigible rough-and-tumblers. He must have had a scary experience at some point in his life before he became a royal prince with us. Because of other obligations I cannot promise a regular weekly schedule of daycare, but I welcome short-term and even last-minute requests whenever I can. I will fill in if your regular sitter is unavailable, and take good care of your dog if you are visiting and/or vacationing in our beautiful area.

Visited Lake Placid for 2 nights before New Years and left my nervous 5 year old rescue (Luna) with Susan for day care. Susan was extremely attentive and communicative about Luna’s separation anxiety. I was happy to receive adorable photo updates and eventually Luna settled in. I would feel extremely comfortable leaving Luna in Susan’s hands any time we’re in the area.
We are here visiting in Lake Placid for the week of Xmas and have our 15 month old puppy with us. We did not just want to leave him in a hotel room while we went skiing for the day .. we were uneasy with what to do. We found Susan on Rover.com and from the moment we first connected with her via text we were delighted and comfortable with how sweet she was! We loved that she also had a companion for our puppy..her beagle, Ted. He was delightful and our puppy and Ted got along great! Susan made our puppy feel so at home with her beautiful house and gorgeous yard and grounds to go for walks on. He was so calm and sleepy tired when we picked him up....He had a blast! She fed him and took him out whenever he needed to go. Tucker made new friends in Lake Placid..Ted and Susan! And if we ever are here to visit again..Susan will always be the one we call! FIVE STAR!!!!! We were so pleased and Tucker’s visit at Susan’s home made it very easy for us to all go skiing. We had booked Susan two full afternoons and one evening and Tucker was so happy to go and visit all 3 times!! Thank you sooooo much Susan!! If you anyone is looking for a puppy sitter in Lake Placid, NY .. call Susan!! You and your puppy will be very happy!!?
Susan was extra accommodating and watched my dog even though it was kinda last minute. He came back happy and I even received photos of how he was doing during the two hours he was there (: I definitely recommend her if you are in the area!
I could not be any happier with the whole experience! Susan was home with my dog all day. Went for walks and napped on her couch . She sent pictures during the day and gave me a complete rundown of their day when I picked him up. LOVE this service and would definitely book with Susan again if ever back in the area :)

We have a four-year-old quiet mellow happy rescued beagle. He has two long adventure walks every day, and as many short ones as he and/or I want. He follows me from room to room and naps nearby or keeps me company by watching whatever I am up to. He likes other dogs who are not overly playful. Occasional romps and games are fun, but he feels threatened by too much rambunctious play. His philosophy is Peaceful Coexistence. We would welcome a companion who would be happy in this environment.
A typical day
We live on a quiet loop road with adjacent pond and wooded trails-miles and miles to explore.
