I absolutely love this job. Never before have I driven away from a job with a smile on my face each day. I love meeting everyone's pets and getting to spend time with them. I have been caring for cats and dogs on Rover since August 2021, but have been watching cats, dogs, and bunnies for neighbors, friends, and family since I was young. I grew up with cats. I didn't get my first dog until 2005 years ago. This little pit bull named Gotti changed my life. I knew nothing about taking care of dogs. I learned by asking questions, reading articles on the internet, and trial and error. He grew to be a well-behaved dog and a loving companion. I even began volunteering for a pit bull rescue, taking them out in public to get them adopted and show people what loving, silly dogs they are. After my dog's death, I rescued two other dogs who I currently have. One dog is a Catahoula Leopard Dog (beautiful and super smart), and the other is an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull--very goofy and full of energy). I also have fostered dogs both overnight and long-term. I spend a lot of time with my dogs and make sure they are physically and mentally stimulated. I socialize my dogs with family and neighbors' dogs. My first concern is for the care and well-being of all animals, yours and mine.
