I've owned and taken care of dogs for over 50 years. I have been dogsitting for the past 5 years, and prior to that have sat for friends. I have much experience with training, administering meds, caring for dogs of many kinds from puppies to seniors, tiny dogs to giant dogs. I have been involved in dog rescue for the past 20 years with a group that rescues Golden Retrievers, and my last 4 dogs have been goldens or golden mixes. I love all dogs and would adopt them all if I could. I recently had to put down my last dog and have decided now that I will be trying to live on social security not to get another dog. I don't want to own a dog unless I have the financial resources to provide them with the very best of everything, and take them to the vet when they get sick. I decided that dog sitting would be a perfect way to keep dogs in my life. I know how important it was to me to have a reliable, competent and loving person to care for my dogs when needed.
